Some say that 13 is an unlucky number;
myself I have always found it to be the opposite and so
it was that on a scorching hot Friday I headed off to the
seaside. The Bridlington (Sewerby) show is set on a cliff
top with a short stroll to the beach and local amenities
or a leisurely seafront walk/tram ride into Bridlington.
Phil and Jackie Walker put on a superb show and it was well
supported by pre-entries. There were a plenty of stalls
and with the show running side-by-side with the Sewerby
Gala there was plenty of for the family to do on the Sunday.
Around 90 cars made the Saturday evening cruise around the
town centre and with the local police providing an escort
it kept things reasonably in order although there could
be heard the faint chirps of rubber from the line of cruisers.

The Sunday only arrivals boosted the
attendance figures and for a local club show the figures
were impressive with a total figure just short of the 200
mark. The hot weather boosted the visitors to the show with
a continuous flow of punters around the cars all day. Prize
giving was held around 4:30 pm and then it was over for
another year. Let's hope this show continues to get the
support it needs as there are all too many of the club shows
going by the wayside.
YANCS also host the Fort Paull show in September and this
is another great weekend not to be missed.
